Client Requirement

Create an oasis from the baron land. Give us the opportunity to cook and entertain outside in a bespoke dining space, to get lost within the planting and allow the garden to sweep down to the river

The Project

Starting from a rubble field, the site was built up to create the plinth for the oak structure and the planting medium.  Over 600 tons of soil was brought in to ensure the grading of the slopes and beds was sympathetic to the site.

The oak structure formed the main entertaining space with outdoor kitchen whilst sunbathing and seating areas were nestled into the planting using River washed limestone paving. A further Oak pergola was constructed to lead the guests from the house past the hot tub to their base for a perfect summers day.

2000sqm of lawns were laid rolling down to the river where natural bank stabilisation was installed either side of the boat jetty.
